Elpriserna följer vindkraftsproduktionen, med tillfälligt högre priser under tisdag och onsdag då vinden mojnar. Under nyårsdagen förväntas de lägsta priserna när konsumtionen minskar samtidigt som det väntas blåsa kraftigt på kontinenten.Elpriserna är numera starkt kopplade till hur mycket det blåser. Det beror på att både Norden och länder som det nordiska systemet är kopplat till har en hög andel vindkraft. Det gör att elprisprognoser för mer än en vecka fram i tiden är osäkra, eftersom väderprognoserna kan ändras snabbt. När detta skrivs ser vecka 2 ut att bjuda på kallt väder (kanske till och med lite efterlängtad snö på många håll?). Samtidigt ökar efterfrågan efter jul- och nyårshelgerna vilket gör att elpriserna förväntas stiga jämfört årets första vecka.
